I do recommend Family movers! I have moved over 21 times as a retired military wife. I hired Brenton , with Family Movers, to move my mothers belongings house to house a distance of 92 miles apart . The service was scheduled for 10am. The day started with a 1 hour delay but ultimately did not matter because the two guys were so fast with loading they had it loaded up within two hours. I had my boxes organized and furniture tightened up, ready to load The morning delay was caused by a truck malfunction. They had to change trucks. Which left them short of shrink wrap and short on moving blankets which it first concerned me, but the move was short distance ( 1.5 hour drive) and mostly interstate travel so they padded the furniture with paper after the moving blankets ran out, my mothers furniture arrived without any damage at all. Brenton’s experienced loading techniques kept everything secure and protected during the move. When we arrived at my mothers house , it was a sprinkling rain. They kept a steady pace unloading and took every precaution to handle moms furniture with care . One of my moms favorite items is a big monster fern in this huge black cast-iron pot, which was quite a handful but they did it without complaining and they were so nice about resetting it on cement blocks for my mom. I would say this was one of my easiest and uneventful moves in 40 years ! The actual cost came in slightly less than estimated . This company has VERY fair pricing and I would DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN . I used the Yelp projects tab to get estimates and my move was insured by Yelp and additional $2500. I had copies of FAMILY MOVERS / license and insurance within minutes of asking ! Brenton is very communicative, and would answer a text or a Yelp message almost instantly. I never waited for an answer- it was most impressive . . His immediate responses gave me comfort and made me comfortable in hiring him. Our move went very smoothly upon arrival.

Best experience with this company! Quickly responded, best price quote compared to 4 other moving companies, jumped thru hoops to get this job done…I only had one item, a medium sized dresser to deliver to my daughter Uptown from Metairie, and he delivered as if it was a whole house of furniture items!!! I will definitely use him again when I move my entire home contents.

Excellent service, the move was quick and nothing was damaged and no problems at all. I was searching for a moving service that could do an out of state move (New Orleans to Atlanta) with very little notice, and Family Movers was able to deliver. Just a few days after we came to an agreement, I had a 1 BR apartment packed up on a Monday, and everything was unpacked the next day on Tuesday. Movers were nice and helpful, and like I said no damage detected or items missing, everything was quick turn around a smooth sailing. I appreciate it and world recommend!
